Smothered Pork Chops Recipe Question And Answer
First it was teriyaki and now it's Cola?
I decided to make teriyaki and soy sauce smothered pork chops. I began so early by making the marinade and placing the pork chops in the marinade and into the fridge. I just remembered another recipe, I really want to make instead. It concludes of Coca Cola, brown sugar, and ketchup. Is it too late to take the chops out of the soy & teriyaki sauce? Will it taste weird when cooked? It's been sitting in there for an hour.
Oh by the way, it says to add cornstarch to the coca cola and ketchup sauce.. can i substitute that for flour?????

might taste a little strange
I think it will end up tasting great. The cola/brown sugar and the teriyaki are harmonious flavors and one hour isn't too long. Just be careful not to make it overly salty.
yeah very good idea : I feel hungry and starving when I go home I will eat my brokoli and pırasa . . It is a traditional mean Imean pırasa . Take care. You made me more hungry by talking about meals and souce . Byebyebyebybeybeybeybeybeyebyebyebeybeybeybeybeybeybybybyyy y
I think you should save your new recipe for another time. YOu would be wasting all that marinade and your chicken is already flavored with it since its been in the fridge. Your new recipe will not taste like it is supposed to.
Good Luck! ;-)
I agree with Taras answer on the taste of the marinades.
As for the other question, You can substitute cornstarch for flour, Corn starch has a cleaner flavor and lets you taste the item you are cooking where flour tastes floury.
